PITCH PARTY: BBS 2023-2024 Season

What the heck is a pitch party?

We're so glad you asked! The Pitch Party is a Bare Bones Shakespeare tradition. We throw a relaxed, awesome party in a space with media capabilities (in case you want to include a PowerPoint or similar).
  • Anyone can pitch a show. We don't promise we'll DO the show, but we can promise that we will give you our full consideration.
  • The Pitch Party is officially part of the brainstorming process, and as such, anything goes. There will be no editing, censoring, or judging. Just enthusiastic collaboration.
  • This year, we're throwing in an extra element, blatantly stolen from our friends at The American Shakespeare Center's Blackfriars Conference: If you do a regular presentation, you will have 5 minutes, but if you bring actors with you to help you demonstrate your concept, we will give you 10 minutes. 
  • Please fill out your "Pitch Application" document and send it to us at BareBonesShakespeare@gmail.com no later than 24 hours before the Pitch Party. You will find the blank form in the "Pitch Party Support Documents" section below.

Hey... when and where are these pitch parties going to be?

Ooh! We like you. You're clever and you ask great questions. We're still securing our spaces and times, but the pitch party process is a rolling event. The current plan is to hold two pitch parties in July, probably Wednesday, July 13 and Saturday, July 16. We might hold another one or two in August.
